Before you start

To translate a phone call in real time, you need:

  • A smartphone (iPhone or Android)
  • The AI Call app (free, available on App Store and Google Play)
  • The phone number of the person you want to call
  • To know which language they speak

That's it. The other person needs nothing — no app, no account, no setup.

Step 1: Download AI Call

Download AI Call free from the App Store or Google Play.

No account is required to start making translated calls.

Step 2: Open the app and select languages

When you open AI Call:

  1. You will see your language on one side (e.g. English)
  2. Select the language the other person speaks on the other side (e.g. Japanese, Chinese, Spanish)
  3. AI Call supports 100+ languages — tap to search or scroll to find theirs

Step 3: Enter the phone number and call

Enter the phone number of the person you want to call — exactly as you normally would, including country code for international calls.

Tap the call button. AI Call places the call through your phone's network.

Step 4: Speak naturally

Once the call connects:

Step 5: End the call normally

When you are done, end the call as you normally would. AI Call does not store your call audio — the translated conversation is processed in real time and discarded when the call ends.

  • Speak at a normal pace — Very fast speech or heavy background noise can affect accuracy
  • Use a quiet environment when possible, especially for business or important calls
  • Check the live transcript on screen if you are unsure you heard something correctly
  • Select the right dialect if available (e.g. Brazilian Portuguese vs European Portuguese, Castilian vs Latin American Spanish)
