Does the other person need to install AI Call?
No. For regular phone calls placed through AI Call, the recipient answers on their usual phone and speaks normally. You use AI Call to place the translated call.
Can I translate a call to a landline?
Yes. AI Call supports calls to regular landline, mobile, and VoIP numbers. The recipient does not need a smartphone.
Does no app needed mean I do not need AI Call either?
No. It refers to the recipient. You place the translated call through AI Call on your side.
Can both people speak their own language?
Yes. AI Call translates your speech for the other person and translates their replies back to you during the live call.
Is this the same as translating a WhatsApp call?
No. This page describes dialing a regular phone number. For translated internet voice and video conversations, see AI Call’s Call Links and voice/video features.
Do I need a Samsung Galaxy, Pixel, or Apple Intelligence iPhone?
AI Call is a separate iPhone and Android app. Check its current store requirements and language selector. If your phone already provides compatible built-in call translation, that may also meet your needs; see the device comparison.
Does this also explain incoming call translation?
This guide covers outgoing calls placed through AI Call. For incoming calls, check the setup and availability shown in the app; do not assume an ordinary incoming carrier call is translated automatically.
Is the call free because the recipient needs no app?
No. Recipient setup and price are separate. AI Call is free to download, but you should check calling minutes, destination availability, and the current charge in the app before calling.
