How does AI interpretation work for insurance calls?
Your adjuster or service rep calls the customer through AI Call. The customer speaks their language, your rep hears English with live subtitles, and the rep’s answers are spoken back in the customer’s language. Calls can return a transcript and summary for the claim file.
It is part of AI Call interpretation services, the same real-time translation engine behind the AI Call app.

AI interpreter vs human interpreter
What changes when AI Call replaces the interpreter on your calls.
| Approach | Time to connect | Hours | Cost / minute | Records |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| AI Call | None, AI is on the call | 24/7 | Per minute, well below human rates | Live subtitles, transcript and summary |
| Phone interpreter | Wait to connect, then a three-way call | Depends on roster and language | $1–5 (typical) | Interpreter notes, if any |
| Bilingual staff | Only if they are free | Their shifts | Salary and pay differentials | Whatever they write down |
Interpreter pricing reflects typical market rates for phone interpretation and varies by provider and language.
