What is AI video remote interpretation?
Video remote interpretation (VRI) usually means opening a vendor platform, requesting an interpreter in the right language and waiting for them to join the video. With AI Call, the interpreter is built into the call: send your Call Link, the other person opens it and calls you, and each side hears the other in their own language with live subtitles.
It is the video part of AI Call interpretation services, replacing the human interpreter on remote visits, consultations and check-ins.
How it works
How an interpreted video call works
Four steps in the AI Call app.
- 1
Create your Call Link
In AI Call, turn on Call Links and get a personal link for translated voice and video calls. Keep using the same link.
- 2
Send it
By text, email or WhatsApp, in an appointment reminder, on your website or as a printed QR code.
- 3
They tap and call
The other person opens the link and starts a voice or video call. They do not install anything.
- 4
Talk with subtitles
Each side hears the other in their own language, as they speak, with live subtitles on both screens.
Fewer steps than a traditional video interpreter
The same video visit, two ways.
Traditional video interpreter
- Open the vendor’s video interpretation platform
- Request an interpreter in the right language
- Wait for the interpreter to join the video
- Every sentence is relayed by the interpreter
AI Call
- Send your Call Link
- The other person taps it and calls you
- AI Call interprets both sides from the first word, with subtitles
No interpreter to wait for and no third face on the screen.
